New Graduates  

  

New registered nurse (RN) graduates benefit from a comprehensive, personalized support system. All RNs in their first nursing role are invited to participate in a Nurse Residency Program alongside nursing orientation. The program provides socialization and support, enhances clinical judgment, and promotes professional development.  

  

IU Health Home Health provides our patients with comprehensive care delivered by a highly trained interdisciplinary team. The IU Health Home Health RN will provide skilled care in patient’s homes. The traditional, complementary, alternative, and holistic services that IU Health Home Health professionals offer add to our patients’ overall quality of life.  

 Home Health nurses will experience a team approach to serving patients while enjoying flexibility and autonomy to do their jobs and provide patients with individualized care. Nurses provide one-on-one patient centered care utilizing critical thinking and clinical skills including (but not limited to) infusion therapy, central line care, catheter care/management, wound care, VAC management, ostomy care/management and patient education. Imagine having the time to connect with patients and families, establish meaningful relationships and assist them to achieve their treatment goals throughout the care continuum. The opportunity to utilize case management skills with autonomy while having work-life balance provides self-satisfaction and personal reward to Home Health nurses.   

IU Health Home Health RNs are eligible to receive a bonus with each pay period based on quality and productivity. If nurses meet quality standards and maximize patient-facing hours, they can earn up to $9,100 per year in addition to base salary.

Shift 

(3) 12-hour shifts. This is a special weekend option position that offers weekend pay. This schedule is 12 hours on Saturday and Sunday with an additional 12 hours during the week. May have some on call obligation.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care.
