Home Mortgage Sales Support Manager

The hiring range for this opportunity is $40.00 to $60.00 per hour depending upon the geographical location the new hire is based out of. This also includes incentive opportunities, creating a competitive total compensation package based on our pay scale and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Ideally, looking for a candidate based out of the Sacramento, Chico, Redding or Bay Area region but open to considering locations where a branch or office is located. 

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing sales and operational support for the Home Mortgage Specialist (HMS) Team to include ongoing training and support on the various systems required for loan origination and pricing, product training, new HMS training and working closely with the sales team on fielding loan scenario and underwriting questions.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and carry out activities as directed by Home Mortgage Sales Manager.

• Asses each HMS and develop a comprehensive training plan to include but not limited to the following areas:

o Branch partnership development and the referral management to enhance up sell opportunities.

o Systems training including, Encompass, Optimal Blue, Loan Prospector/Desktop Underwriter and other required systems to originate loans.

o Tax and income analysis.

o Loan submission training to reduce submission and/or compliance errors.

o Customer experience training to guarantee a consistent process and customer experience.

• Manage newly hired HMS’s training to ensure a smooth transaction into the Bank.

• Coordinate with the Home Mortgage Systems Administrator to further develop tools within Encompass that will support the ongoing effort of streamlining loan originations and improving the customer experience. 

• Provide loan scenario support by fielding questions from the HMS team thereby reducing the number of calls going to the underwriting team.

• Provide regular detailed progress reports to management.

• Ensure compliance with Bank policies and procedures as well as all related compliance and regulatory requirements.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports the Home Mortgage Sales Manager and Sales Team in the ongoing business development efforts to further establish the Bank in the Realtor community as one of the top lenders of choice. 

• Keeps management informed of department activity through management reports.

• Coordinates with other department managers as necessary.

• Works on special projects as assigned by superiors.

• Participates with management on development of new loan products.

• Maintains a current understanding of and ensures compliance with established Tri Counties Bank policies and procedures including but not limited to regulations as they pertain to mortgage loans: SAFE Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Reg B), Truth in Lending (Reg Z), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Fair Housing Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), OFAC compliance, Identity Theft Protection, Unfair Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP), Non-public Personal Information (NPPI) regulations, and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA)..

• Assists Training Department in Home Mortgage related branch employee training.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED

• High school diploma or GED required, undergraduate degree preferred.

• Minimum five years’ experience, specifically related to residential Home Mortgage loan products, pricing, origination and underwriting.

• Strong tax analysis skills.

• Thorough knowledge of loan origination and underwriting systems including Encompass, Loan Prospector and Desktop Underwriter.

• Strong computer and Windows programs skills required.
