Our Global Applied Health and Nutrition (AH&N) division provides a wide portfolio of advanced technologies (Excipients, Cell Nutrition, Enzymes, Brewing Ingredients, Proteins, Proactive Health technologies and Food Protection).
The ProActive Health (PAH) business within AH&N offers world leading brands like BC30®, Hereditum® Wellmune®, Sensoril®, Caronositol® & Eupoly3® to the Food, Beverage, Pet and Dietary Supplements markets. This is an area that Kerry Group will continue invest in significantly to further expand our portfolio, it therefore offers a major opportunity for you to grow and develop a career with it.
Reporting directly into the Commercial Lead for Supplements Europe, the Account Manager will play a key role in the delivery of the overall European supplement strategy and specific account strategy.
They will be responsible for all sales activities with both existing and potential customers for Kerry´s PAH Portfolio in defined territory (Southern Europe).
The ideal candidate will have strong insights into the European functional foods nutraceuticals and dietary supplements category, with excellent industry knowledge, will bring a developed and strong network of contacts and a recognition with Industry players.
This position will require travel within Europe and periodically to attend meetings at other Kerry sites outside Europe. There will be an expectation to have extensive and regular customer visits in the market.
Home office is possible.
• Manage and grow Kerry’s ProActive Health technologies into the dietary supplements market within the defined territory. This will include working directly with leading supplements players and with distributors active in this market.
• Building a strong opportunity pipeline in dietary supplements for probiotics, yeast beta glucan, lipids and botanical extracts which Kerry brings to the market.
• Support and “close” new business opportunities through both bespoke and branded product and integrated solution selling to deliver profitable growth.
• Build a strong awareness in the European market of Kerry’s emerging presence in the dietary supplements area by;
- Developing strong customer alliances and promoting Kerry in this category via participation in
key Industry events (e.g. tradeshows, seminars and conferences).
- Being a strong ambassador internally in Kerry Europe and externally in the market.
• Support the development of strong strategic relationships within customers’ organization including NPD, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and QA / Nutrition and foster counterpart relationships within Kerry.
• Meet regularly with other team members to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales/account management role, working in the dietary supplements/nutraceuticals Industry, preferably with a knowledge of this business at a wider European level.
• Driven and highly motivated to win new business and identify new customers.
• Track record of setting and delivering on growth targets and defending existing business
• Displays a passion for the dietary supplements category and has a keen interest in the topics of nutrition and general wellness.
• Fluency in English in combination with Italian and/or French is required. Capabilities in other European languages would be an advantage.
• Matrix management experience or delivering projects through teams indirectly.
• Strong ability to work via multiple internal stakeholders in the Kerry matrix structure.
• Entrepreneurial spirit & strategic mindset.
