The HPC GRA Specialist will support the home and personal care product lines, with a focus on customer support/documentation, certifications, data management, and project support.

The Home and Personal Care (HPC) Regulatory Specialist reports to the HPC Global Regulatory Strategy Lead and works with the business stakeholders to support product innovations and applications that are compliant and safe for their intended use as ingredients in cleaning, personal care, and technical industrial applications.

 The primary responsibilities for this position include:

Responding to customer requests for regulatory information pertaining to a wide variety of HPC product portfolios. Helping to create standard statements, respond to questionnaires, and certification schemes to support routine requests.Supporting a process for developing and maintaining customer documents and working with key stakeholders within the business, regulatory, and quality to validate the information for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.Assisting with developing and maintaining a content management system to help organize regulatory documentation needed to support the HPC Bioactives business.Collaborating with HPC sustainability and regulatory experts to support ecolabel certificates and various key customer requirements that are essential to support sales in the home care and personal care markets. Monitor and track changes to these schemes to help support any adjustments to the HPC approach.Conduct annual supplier surveys associated with key information that is needed to support customer inquiries (e.g. animal testing, ingredient transparency etc.) and work with procurement to successfully complete the surveys in a timely manner.Work closely with GRA HPC project leads to support product innovation during the stage gate process by supporting necessary workstreams such as risk assessments, customer support documentation and training related to new IFF products and applications.Potential to help monitor and track regulatory changes to help inform the business on impacts to product portfolios.

Experience & Requirements:

BS in chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, or related technical field, such as biotechnology, industrial hygiene, toxicology. 2-5 years of experience in research and/or regulatory affairs, ideally in the biotechnology field.Working knowledge of collaborative digital environments such as SharePoint, One Drive, MicroSoft Teams, etc.Ability to participate in cross-functional global teams and networks.Effective organization skills and ability to manage projects and complete tasks to meet deadlines.Effective communicator with strong networking skills, and ability to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships through all levels of an organization.Detail orientated and ability to focus on relevant information, while also understanding the broader business priorities.Self-starter, willingness to take initiative.Demonstrated ability to interpret regulations and certification schemes.
