Maxim Healthcare is seeking full or part-time CNAs to assist with our adult male patient in Elizabeth, IL! We are looking to fill 12 hour shifts, 6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM (CNA must be open to both). This patient requires a Daily bowel program/Urostomy bag, daily stretches and general ADL's.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the Certified Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Assistant include, but are not limited to, the following:Bathing (sponge bath, shower, tub, shampoo)Back rubsGrooming (nail filing, hair care, oral hygiene)Changing bed linenAssisting patients with dressing and undressingSkin care to prevent breakdownAssisting the patient with toileting activitiesKeeping patient’s living area clean and orderly, as appropriatePlans and prepares nutritious mealsAssists in feeding the patient, if necessaryTakes and records oral and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)Assists with mobility, positioning, transfers, and using transfer/mobility devices as applicable, according to the plan if careAssists with active and passive range of motion exercises and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competencyAssists patient in the self-administration of medicationDoes patient’s laundry, as appropriateMeets safety needs of patients, including proper use of equipment (foot stools, side rails, etc.), maintains compliance with Maxim Falls Prevention program, Infection Control program, and patient-specific Emergency Management plan as applicableReports patient’s condition and significant changes to the supervising Registered NurseAdherence to Maxim’s documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conductOther duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Successful completion of a nursing assistant/home health aide or competency training and evaluation program as applicable, per State/Federal regulationsSuccessful completion of Maxim’s Clinical Competency Program for home health aides, including successful completion of examinations with score of 80% or higher, and demonstration of all required skills per State/Federal regulationsAbility to read and follow written instructions and document care givenMeets Maxim and applicable State Background Investigation requirementsPossession of current CPR certification and First Aid training/certification as applicable, per State regulationsParticipation in Tuberculosis screening/testing requirements per Maxim policy and as applicable, per State regulationSuccessful completion of Maxim’s orientations/trainings, in-service program, and Maxim training examinations, with a score of 80% or greater
