Hook Up Engineer

**Job Overview:**
The Hook Up Engineer applies their conceptual knowledge of Hook Up and, with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, is responsible for solving a range of straightforward Hook Up problems. They will be responsible for analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures and building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The Hook Up Engineer understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:**
+ Read, understand and implement the Company’s Health Safety Environmental and Quality Policy and the arrangements described in the Company Management System
+ Participate in and provide field guidance for pre-engineering and pre-construction surveys
+ Review drawings for constructability and identify any specific issues and coordinates resolution
+ Review & formulize discipline scope of work, schedules and specifications Understands the deliverable requirements
+ Review the material requisitions in compliance with project specifications prior to order
+ Develop and issue final Hook-up construction work packs
+ Monitor scope changes and inputs to DTCMS/CAT
+ Ensure all engineering deliverables (drawings, materials, and procedures) are available for hook up execution
+ Prepare hook up task sheets and reviews task sheets as appropriate
+ Ensure efficient sequencing of HU activities & reviews hook up schedules synchronizing with other disciplines
+ Enable resource forecast & manpower loadings
+ Manage the timely delivery of documentation, fabrication, materials, personnel and vendors aligned to Hook-up schedule
+ Provide field guidance and ensures compliance with Company specification
+ Coordinate materials with load-out plans at yards & ship to offshore locations in optimum vessel sorties
+ Travel to different region facilities onshore/ offshore to assist project team and coordinate execution aligned to project schedule
+ Monitor and report implementation related changes and growth during the course of the project specifically related to hook up
+ Participate with HAZID discussion and asset incidents / hazards investigations and communicate findings to PMT and Senior HU Engineer
+ Prepare comprehensive technical reports, checklists, and documentation to capture all relevant activities, observations, and outcomes throughout the hook-up process
+ Provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders, highlighting any significant milestones, challenges, or deviations from project plans
+ Execute hook-up activities on assigned projects, following project schedules, procedures, and safety guidelines
+ Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during the planning and execution phases
+ Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, regulations, and contractual requirements
+ Participate in project review meetings to provide insights and feedback for process improvement
+ Oversee and manage all hook-up activities by project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations
+ Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of all hook-up activities
+ Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of hook-up activities
**Essential Qualifications and Education:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant field)
+ 6 years of experience in offshore hook-up activities within the EPCI industry
+ Proficient knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, IEC, NEC)
+ Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
+ Exhibit leadership skills within own discipline & assist trainee engineers/freshers
+ Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders
+ Proactive, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
+ Certified in relevant safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, HSE) is preferred
