Horizontal Directional Drill Operator

Are you a Horizontal Directional Drill Operator with construction industry experience and a solid understanding of current work safe practices? This role offers you the chance to work in Oregon on a rotational schedule of 21 days on and 7 days off if you're based out of state. While on duty, you'll receive a live-out allowance.

In this position, you'll play a key role in building telecommunications networks by performing directional boring around and on utilities for fiber installation projects. This opportunity promises a diverse career path and long-term prospects with a leading telecommunications company.

Essential Responsibilities:

Operate HDD equipment in accordance with company and industry standards

Maintain company equipment per service requirements and safety guidelines

Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervisor

Install conduit, vaults, cable etc. i.e. doing labor work when not operating equipment

Take active role in Ledcor’s health and safety program

Qualifications:

Must possess and maintain a clean driving record and valid driver's license appropriate to the requirements of the vehicle being driven – CDL A preferred

One or more years of directional drilling experience or combination of work experience and/or technical training in an industry-related trade certification or education program

Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental protection practices and procedures as they apply to related construction processes

Must be able to track and communicate daily production and materials

Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements

Working Conditions:

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet) and perform work on uneven surfaces

This position will require travel throughout the state of Oregon - per diem and travel accommodations will be provided
