Position Summary: KBR is looking for a journeyman-level software engineer to support the horizontal integration of multiple USAF open architecture standards. Our team leads the charge in USAF open architecture development, maturation and coordination. Key Responsibilities: + Assessments: Prototype and assess feasibility of horizontal integration efforts across open reference architectures + Coordination: Coordinate experiments, assure complimentary lines of effort, and produce final leadership-level outbriefs of experimentation results to inform horizontal integration decision making + Break up scope of broad cross-cutting activities into prototype-based work to reduce risk and identify opportunities across open architectures and standards + Technical Leadership: Act as the technical owner of the Air Dominance Government Reference Architecture (GRA) Starter Kit which includes: MBSE model, documentation, and reference software + Perform technical leadership of an industry consortium as a CLIN lead Work Environment: + Location: On-site + Travel Requirements: Minimal + Working Hours: Standard (9am-3pm-core hours) Qualifications: Required: + Education: BS in a technical field (Prefer computer science or electrical engineering) + 3+ years in software development + Experience with C++ development in a Linux environment + Experience with MBSE and DevSecOps toolflows and design activities + Experience with modern commercial software development practices using tools like GitLab, Jira, Artifactory, and Nexus + Experience with collaborative software development in either open source or professional team environments.
