Principal Duties + Prune trees and other landscape materials in City parks and cemeteries to clear hazards. + Perform watering, landscape planting and maintenance operations for City Cemeteries and Parks, landscaped areas and planting beds + Plant annual color and nursery stock in sign beds and landscape area in the parks system, City ROW and on City property. + Assist in irrigation maintenance. + Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of cemetery properties. + Assist with preparing for special events as needed. + Inspect and conduct preventative and routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment. + Participate in the maintenance of the horticulture system by operating a variety of equipment such as edgers, line trimmers, brush chippers and various other hand and power tools. + Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Valid State of Texas Driver's License. Preferred: Experience in landscape maintenance. Possess a valid State of Texas Class "B" CDL.
