JOB DUTIES: + Answer customer’s questions regarding care of a wide variety of plants in our garden center and able to look up other plants as needed. + Maintain knowledge of trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals + Work directly on sales floor, and registers, throughout the store, assisting customers and accomplishing “Bachman’s Customer Service Culture + Process all store transactions according to established procedures including In-store pickup, Curbside pickup and Delivery orders, returns for customers and transfers to other stores..  + Maintain store appearance with general cleaning, caring for plants, dusting, stocking and displaying merchandise. + Answer telephone calls regarding all perishable horticulture questions. + Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: + A two-year Horticulture degree or MNLA Certification is preferred. + Demonstrates a wide range of product knowledge with all Garden Center products. + This position also requires excellent customer relations and communication skills and 3+ years’ product knowledge and gardening knowledge.  + Must be able to read and write in English and perform basic math skills.  + Past cashier experience is preferred.  SCHEDULE: + Monday through Friday with some Saturdays + April through September BENEFITS: + Employee Discount + Wellness Challenges + Employee Assistance Program (EAP)   COMPENSATION: $17.50/hour  Don’t settle, come grow with us!
