Hospice RN
The Registered Nurse IPCC will directly report to the Executive Director RN IPCC and is responsible for providing total patient nursing care in the inpatient unit facility. • Provide direct patient care services to hospice patients and supportive care to the patient's family with a reasonable case load while providing a trusting and compassionate relationship with your patients and their families • Maintain all assigned patient clinical records • Prepare, administer, and chart medications and treatments • Evaluate patient and family needs and assist in the preparation and execution of the plan of care for each patient General Duties and Responsibilities • Adheres to Organization's Policy and Procedures • Acts as a role model within and outside the Agency • Performs duties as workload necessitates • Maintains a positive and respectful attitude • Communicates regularly with supervisor about Department issues and keeps management advised of potential problems in all areas • Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload • Consistency reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position • Meets Department productivity standards • Participates in working groups, councils and committees • Ensures compliance with rules and regulations • Participates on committees, and special projects, and seeks additional responsibilities • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriate • Recommends new approaches to effect on-going continual improvements to policies, procedures, and documentation • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars • Performs other related duties as required and assigned • Consistently promotes the company's core values • Completes required Compliance annual training Education/Experience: • Bachelor/associate degree in nursing • A minimum of one (1) year experience as an RN in critical care or acute care (such as ICU, IPU, ER or emergency room) strong preferred Additional, preferred experience to help you be successful: hospice, home health, oncology, hospital Staff RN, Med Surg, PACU, Float pool. cardiac, geriatric, admissions, wound care, telemetry or travel nursing. School internships and clinical hours may be considered as experience in individual cases.
