Hospital Billing and Collections Specialist II

Responsibilities Responsibilities: + Accurately enters, processes, and reconciles client transactions for more complex clients, while demonstrating keen ability to recognize errors and discrepancies. + Prepare complex documents and reports to meet clients’ needs and in accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders + Provides technical support to leadership and/or clients. + Actively participate in on-boarding of new clients + Further develop technical competency according to applicable guidelines/regulations and with various software systems to provide the services + Responds to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive, and professional manner. + Communicates proactively with other firm associates regarding open items, problems, or other important matters. + Ensures strict adherence to prescribed policies, time budgets, and deadlines, and provides guidance to team members in managing and meeting these requirements. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Qualifications: + High School diploma or equivalent + 3 years of hospital billing experience. + Ability to review cash posting, a/r follow-up, rebilling, denials + Ability to work multiple payers billing and collections: Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, Private Pay, Workers Comp + Excels at organizing and prioritizing workload for multiple complex clients while meeting deadlines with high quality and accuracy. + Ability to work independently with effective time management. + Ability to analyze data and recommend solutions + Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear and concise communication with clients, team members, and other stakeholders. + Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook + Familiar will at least one hospital billing system, preferably Cerner, Epic, and/or Meditech. + Adheres to the American Health Information Management Association’s code of ethics Cheyenne Lee, from our recruiting team, will be guiding you through this process. The estimated base pay range for this role is $19.00/hr to $31.00/hr, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws. Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
