RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Hospital Liaison is responsible for growing key service lines within the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX market, as defined by management. As a member of the business development and admissions team, the Hospital Liaison works closely with hospital discharge planners, physicians, and social workers to generate referrals. Develops and maintains new and current relationships with assigned hospitals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assesses potential patients and obtains appropriate documentation to support admission eligibility Provides an overview of Nexion services and admission policies Coordinates the completion of our admission process and ensures that appropriate resources are obtained for a successful transfer Serves as a consultant to other professionals by providing expertise in the area of available Nexion services Follows all applicable federal and state regulations including HIPAA QUALIFICATIONS: BA or BS degree in a health-related field is preferred If RN/LVN, must have a current, unencumbered license to practice profession in state Prior sales and marketing experience Knowledge of medical terminology required Prior experience in admissions preferred Prior long-term care experience preferred Ability to understand and deploy oral and written instructions in English Effective oral and written communication skills Must have a reliable source of transportation Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
