As Medical Director, you'll oversee a 60-bed acute rehabilitation hospital equipped with cutting-edge technology and dedicated to providing excellent care for patients recovering from brain injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries, and other complex neurological and traumatic conditions. Job Responsibilities:
Provides medical leadership for their respective hospital in the areas of safety and quality metrics in coordination with Hospital President and system CMO Collaborates with the Hospital President and Sr VP of Patient Access in the assessment and development of new business lines that respond to market demand Participates as appropriate with management in the evaluation and resolution of patient/family care concerns in their respective hospital. Serves as a subject matter expert for their medical/rehabilitation clinical care teams and provides education as appropriate. Provides pre-admission patient reviews and interacts with acute care referral partners and insurers to facilitate patient access Provides consultation to the clinical research center and reviews potential research study proposals Provides oversight of staff physiatrists based at their respective hospital with regard to patient satisfaction quality, productivity and patient outcomes metrics. Collaborates with the system CMO regarding onboarding and orientation of new staff physicians based at their respective hospital Collaborates with the system CMO to develop monthly physician/APP call assignment calendar to assure adequate PMR Physician/APP support for safe patient care delivery Attends local, regional and national meetings specific to enhancing the delivery of rehabilitation services Attends rehabilitation/clinical care related committees and council meetings as appropriate Participates in community and regional educational/leadership activities to enhance awareness of the Brooks system and its rehabilitation programsJob Qualifications:
