Position OverviewThe Director of Operations will collaborate with leadership to develop and implement existing operations and service lines throughout our hospitals. This position also supports senior leadership with system-wide operations, goals, policies, and procedures. This candidate works daily with the senior leadership and specifically the market CEO of the hospitals. In addition, this position assists with managing fiscal resources by helping to manage operational and capital budgets.
Essential Job Functions In collaboration with leadership, develop and implement operational and strategic plans for the systemAssist leadership with ensuring system-wide development, implementation, and reporting of consistent clinical and operational metricsAssess and prioritize opportunities to improve, plan and implement effective changes and evaluate outcomes of process improvement activitiesEnsure all facilities are operationally efficient and are optimizing resources for patientsWorks closely with leadership to identify, plan, design and implement patient experience improvement strategiesAssists in supporting development and implementation of clinical and patient service programs that meet patient needs, regulatory requirements and patient satisfaction requirementsFocus on patient experience and patient throughput metricsAssist with improving facility operations through proactive identification and improvement of operational opportunitiesAssists with State and Federal, Licensing and Accreditation, and Internal Quality and Compliance auditsAssist with launching new initiatives that will enhance daily operations and the patient experienceConduct independent operational reviews on performance, quality and other metricsSupport facility Hospital Administrators in team development and assist senior leadership with building a market culture that incorporates consistency in operations across all facilities Other Job Functions Assists leadership with the launch of new facilities and other market/corporate projectsInstill collaborative culture between leaders in the marketVisits hospital facilities regularly to inspect operations to ensure regulatory complianceCoordinate best practice sharing and coordination across facilities Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, business, nursing or related field required; MBA or MHA preferred 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role in a healthcare setting; experience in multi-site system preferredThis leader should be a strong communicator who thrives in an innovative and fast-paced environmentMust be passionate about creating an excellent patient experience and supportive cultureAbility to mentor and develop team membersTravel required to all facilities in the marketPosition requires fluency in English; written and oral communication.
