Hospital Reimbursement Strategist / Contract Modeling Integration ( 1099) Location: Remote (United States); Mid-Atlantic Region Preferred Type: Short-term, 1099, 40 hours/week Project Timeline: May 2025 - October 2025; possibility of extension Overview EWINGS is seeking a Hospital Reimbursement Strategist/Contract Modeling Integration Analyst to support a high-visibility hospital contracting initiative for a major health plan transitioning to value-based reimbursement structures under the AHEAD model. This role will serve as the critical bridge between our data analysis, benchmarking, and hospital contracting teams, ensuring that pricing insights are translated into field-ready strategy, tools, and scenarios. This position does not require independent claims data normalization or model-building from raw data. The role is focused on application, integration, and strategic deployment of benchmark models. Key Responsibilities + Evaluate benchmark pricing data and reimbursement scenarios to inform payer reimbursement strategy + Translate comparative insights into contracting strategy, working closely with the hospital negotiation and contracting team + Coordinate with modeling team to clarify methodology, adjust assumptions, and refine modeling outputs as needed + Configure facility-specific rate scenarios and contribute to rate sheet packaging using standardized tools and dashboards + Develop customized reporting filters, dashboards, and worksheets that support field negotiations + Serve as liaison between data modeling and actuarial/legal teams to ensure pricing assumptions align with internal expectations + Support ad hoc analysis and modeling adjustments to support hospital negotiation and contracting teams + Maintain a clear understanding of reimbursement structures such as DRG, APC, per diem, and hybrid models Requirements + 5+ years of experience in healthcare data analysis, payer-side contract modeling, or network development analytics + Familiarity with Medicare fee schedules, commercial rate benchmarking, and hospital reimbursement logic + Experience interpreting and applying modeling outputs to support hospital negotiations + Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex pricing insights to non-technical audiences + Prior exposure to AHEAD, Maryland TCOC, or value-based care initiatives is preferred + Familiarity with the Maryland and greater mid-Atlantic hospital landscape + Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools; experience using external portals or modeling software a plus About EWINGS EWINGS is a leader in helping clients build large-scale healthcare provider networks.
