+ 2 Day Physicians and 2 Hospitalist APPs
+ 1 Day Physician provides ICU coverage.
+ Night Coverage:
+ 1 Dedicated Nocturnist (Procedures Required)
+ Handles 5-7 admits per night.
+ ICU: 8 Beds
+ Hospitalist Team Average Daily Census: High 30s to Low 40s
+ EMR: Meditech

As a Day Hospitalist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to hospitalized patients during daytime hours, focusing on collaborative decision-making and delivering exceptional patient care.
Primary Responsibilities:
Patient Care Management:
+ Oversee and manage the care of hospitalized patients during the daytime shift.
+ Conduct patient admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning to ensure comprehensive and seamless care.
+ Collaborate with the nocturnist team for smooth transitions of care during handoffs.
Critical Care Support:
+ Provide coverage and management for ICU patients in collaboration with a dedicated ICU proceduralist.
+ Stabilize critically ill patients and coordinate advanced care with consulting specialists.
Collaboration and Communication:
+ Work closely with nursing staff, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and consultants to ensure cohesive and high-quality patient care.
+ Provide updates to patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team regarding care plans and progress.
Documentation:
+ Maintain accurate and thorough medical records using the EMR system (Meditech).
+ Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and procedural details in a timely manner.
Patient and Family Engagement:
+ Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions effectively to patients and their families.
+ Address questions and concerns with empathy, ensuring patient and family satisfaction.
Quality Improvement:
+ Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to hospital policies that enhance patient safety and outcomes.
+ Stay informed about advancements in hospital medicine and implement evidence-based practices in patient care.
