Position Summary
The Hospitality Center Coordinator acts as the lead caretaker of the Davidson Family Hospitality Center. The position supports the daily operation of the Hospitality Center by leading staff to ensure effective operation according to organizational goals. Ensures the delivery of consistent, high-quality service to families, patients, and guests.
Responsibilities
• Assists with daily coordination of staff for the site, including task prioritization
• Helps remove barriers preventing staff from operating the Hospitality Center in a safe, high-quality, consistent manner
• Contributes to the development, review, and implementation of operational policies and guidelines in coordination with leadership
• Oversees scheduling of staff and resolves difficulties, gaps, or conflicts in the schedule
• Ensures a comfortable environment that encourages a safe, secure, home-like atmosphere for guests
• Leads staff in acknowledging the differences in values, cultures, beliefs, and demographics among guests and staff
• Serves as a resource for staff processing billing for guests, ensuring accuracy of revenue streams
• Tracks monthly census, household supply inventory, revenue, and expenses
• Consults with leadership to evaluate and improve operational processes to operate more effectively, safely, and efficiently
• Attentive to the care of the facility, including cleanliness, décor, and landscaping
• Reports any maintenance, repairs, replacements, and services needed to leadership and all proper channels
• Supports volunteers in ensuring a strong, positive program with a helpful, sensitive, and encouraging attitude towards guests and the community
• Supports guest, facility, and personnel emergencies during shift at the center, routing to leadership for support as needed
• Participates in staff meetings; conducts meetings as needed/directed by leadership
• Follows appropriate procedures during emergencies, including contacting necessary personnel and assisting guests as needed
• Adheres to Kootenai Health policies and procedures, including confidentiality guidelines and safety protocols
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
• Associate degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years’ customer service, administrative support, or hospitality experience required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Strong organizational skills and abilities in operational decision making
• Ability to navigate escalated situations with a positive attitude
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), basic IT equipment, and learning how to use new software tools
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Working Conditions
• Must be able to lift or move up to 35 lbs
• Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
• Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend
• Must be able to reach arms above or below shoulder height
• Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens
