Hospitality Manager in Training at Paws Up Montana: As Hospitality Manager in Training (MIT) at Paws Up Montana, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Whether mastering hospitality software to meet guest needs, managing dining services, inspecting housekeeping services, or ensuring seamless behind-the-scenes operations, your contributions will be vital to upholding the resort's high standards. The 18-month Hospitality Manager in Training program at Paws Up Montana is designed to transform individuals into skilled leaders by rotating them through key areas of food and beverage, front office, glamping, events, and housekeeping operations. This program provides real-world exposure and hands-on experience in a luxury resort environment, offering a deep understanding of leadership, operations, and guest service excellence. Participants must be available to start between April – June. The length of each rotation could be slightly modified based on the candidate’s demonstrated proficiency and business need. Our intention is to offer successful candidates a full-time leadership position at the end of this program. Focus on managing dining reservations, dietary requests, and guest orders while mastering resort software. Key Skills: + Handle guest reservations and requests with 90% accuracy. + Use software like Maestro, Fetch, and OpenTable for efficient service. + Communicate professionally to ensure seamless guest experiences. + Solve guest concerns in real-time. + Apply Forbes service standards for luxury hospitality. Phase 2: Food & Beverage Leadership (3 Months) Step into a leadership role, overseeing dining operations and managing staff while maintaining high service standards. Key Skills: + Manage guest dining experiences and staff operations. + Develop time management and delegation skills. + Coordinate events and read Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). + Ensure food safety and service efficiency. + Balance guest engagement with team leadership. Phase 3: Luxury Dining Experience (2 Months) Refine fine dining skills in a high-end restaurant setting, focusing on guest personalization and luxury service. Key Skills: + Gain expertise in beverage service, pairings, and glassware selection. + Anticipate guest needs for a tailored dining experience. + Coordinate between kitchen and service teams. + Adapt to changing guest dynamics. + Maintain Forbes luxury service standards. Phase 4: Front Desk (2 Months) Enhance guest interaction skills while handling reservations, billing, and service recovery. Key Skills: + Manage complex guest billing with accuracy. + Resolve guest concerns and enhance service recovery. + Facilitate cross-department communication for smooth service. + Handle both positive and negative guest feedback professionally. Phase 5: Events (3 Months) Gain hands-on experience in event planning and execution for major resort events like Christmas, Hanukkah, and Winterfest. Key Skills: + Plan and coordinate large-scale events. + Organize holiday decorations and setup. + Use event management software for seamless execution. + Lead cross-team meetings to ensure smooth collaboration. Phase 6: Glamping Operations (2 Months) Assist in setting up and managing luxury seasonal accommodations in the wilderness. Key Skills: + Develop and refine operating procedures for glamping services. + Adapt to site-specific challenges like terrain and weather. + Train and manage seasonal staff effectively. + Forecast demand and optimize resource planning. Phase 7: Housekeeping (4 Months) Lead housekeeping teams across luxury glamping sites and traditional lodging while ensuring top-tier cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Key Skills: + Apply Forbes luxury housekeeping standards. + Manage housekeeping staff schedules and logistics. + Oversee inventory and maintain efficiency. + Conduct detailed housekeeping inspections. + Handle guest requests and service recovery professionally. This program builds leadership, operational, and guest service skills to prepare participants for high-level roles in luxury hospitality.
