Job Summary:
The Hospitality Specialist will support both clients and staff in promoting Health and Safety throughout the organization. This role plays a critical part in upholding Brightli’s commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all. The Hospitality Specialist is responsible for performing various safety-related functions to ensure the safety of the organization while carrying out all assigned duties in accordance with operational guidelines and professional ethics.

Perform duties in accordance with Brightli’s Operational Guidelines and professional ethics.Participate in staff development activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization.Support management with data collection, program evaluation, and development of grant applications.Actively engage in reflective practices to regulate emotions and behaviors before, during, and after shifts to maintain a positive environment.Regularly participate in self-evaluation and evaluation of assigned staff in alignment with Brightli Operational Guidelines.Adhere to best practices, including trauma-informed care and crisis intervention techniques.Uphold and support Brightli’s commitment to diversity and inclusion through cultural awareness and sensitivity.Contribute to excellent customer service by fostering a welcoming environment for clients and staff.Actively participate as a member of the treatment team, ensuring that Brightli’s facilities provide a safe environment for therapeutic transformation.Greet all clients and visitors promptly, pleasantly, and courteously.Assist in resolving client issues or complaints while maintaining a positive and respectful atmosphere.Build and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients through open, interactive communication.Arrive prepared for all duties and participate in staff meetings and shift changeovers.Conduct ongoing threat assessments and enforce safety measures to protect all clients, staff, and visitors.Respond and intervene as necessary to mitigate unsafe actions or processes, ensuring a secure environment.Implement authorized de-escalation techniques in crisis situations to return clients to a calm, rational state.Serve as a role model for clients, staff, and visitors by demonstrating positive behavior and encouraging an environment that promotes hope, motivation, and resilience.Take proactive responses to assigned duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.Demonstrate a willingness to accept constructive feedback and make improvements.Be available for on-call duties, including working flexible hours, evenings, and weekends as needed.Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Leadership Team.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong customer service orientation and exceptional interpersonal skills.Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence clearly and effectively.Excellent communication skills to engage with clients, residents, employees, and community members.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in varied situations.Ability to follow directions and accept supervision while maintaining a proactive approach to responsibilities.Experience in crisis intervention and managing challenging client behaviors preferred.Experience and Education Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.Preferred experience working with diverse populations and cultural awareness.Crisis intervention experience strongly preferred.Supervisory Requirements:
None.Employment Requirements:
Successful completion of background checks (criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, fingerprint check).Completion of New Hire Orientation within the first 30 days of employment.Completion of all required training, including Relias, within two weeks of employment and annually thereafter.Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.Ability to perform duties as outlined in the job description, including physical tasks as needed.Physical Requirements:
ADA Consideration: Sedentary work requiring up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects, including the human body.Requires repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements for typing and writing during the work shift.Primarily sedentary work with occasional walking or standing.
