It's the first Margaritaville in Texas and we welcome you to the one and only lake resort on Lake Conroe in Montgomery, Texas. Overview A Host, or Greeter, or Seater is responsible for welcoming our guests to a food service environment (Restaurant and Bar venues or Banquet Events as assigned) and ensuring that they are seated and receive attentive service. Their primary duties include welcoming each guest to the Venue and accommodating their seating according to preferences and availability while overseeing the current restaurant’s seating capacity based off volume of guest flow and table-turns and maintaining a waitlist of patrons during busy meal service, passing out menus and accepting phone calls. BASIC FUNCTION: Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff, and assisting wait staff as and when needed Taking care of To-GO and Delivery orders as required Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties Ensuring a fond-farewell and an invite back to all departing patrons Qualifications QUAILFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS: TABC & Food Handlers Certification REQUIRED Requires constant walking, with frequent standing, reaching, and balancing, for extended period. Requires frequent crouching, bending, and pushing/pulling. Frequent lifting/carrying of up to 20 lbs. Requires frequent manual dexterity and gross motor skills, and constant vision, and hearing Able to articulate and speak clearly with team and guests Required working both indoors and outdoors often, in exterior weather conditions exposure to heat, humidity, rain and cold weather. ENVIRONMENT: Indoors/ Outdoors as scheduled per venue, Outdoor Venues with open weather environment. Pool deck areas, hard kitchen floors with occasional slippery or greasy areas. Handling hot plates and silver. Outdoors, with exposure to outdoor climate and elements.
