Ulland Brothers, Inc., is a Civil/Highway-Heavy, aggregate and site development contractor with offices in Carlton, Virginia and Albert Lea, MN. Ulland Brothers has operated in the construction industry for over 100 years. Ulland Brothers has an immediate opening for the position of Hot Mix Paving Superintendent. The Hot Mix Paving Superintendent is primarily responsible for coordinating the activities of the hot mix plant and paving crew to produce a quality product that meets and exceeds the required specifications of the project in a constructive manner.
This position requires travel throughout the state of MN with available per diem. This is a safety sensitive position that requires drug testing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Represent Ulland Brothers in a professional manner Interface and maintain a good relationship with owners, inspectors, prime contractors, subcontractors and the general public Be a partner in the development, recruitment and retention of our workforce Oversight of Project Safety including but not limited to: Implementing Ulland Brothers Safety Policy Pre-task Plans/JHA Safety Paperwork Inspecting and monitoring of traffic control layouts and devices Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment Accident / incident prevention and reporting Conduct weekly tailgate safety meetings Be familiar with the current Standard Specifications for Construction Read, know and understand the Project Plans and Specifications Set and monitor daily production goals in accordance with estimate and budget Schedule project personnel, equipment, and material needs to utilize our resources to their fullest potential Monitor equipment for maintenance and repair Complete daily administrative work as required on the project. (time cards, daily logs, work reports, etc.) Attend industry related training programs Other duties as assignedQualifications:
