HOTEL ASSISTANT HEAD HSKP

SUMMARY:  

Performs duties to manage the housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure Town Pump and brand quality operational standards are met. Model the Hotel Group Mission Statement “Genuine Hospitality from genuine people committed to providing comfort and service.” 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Complete all required company and brand-specific training and/or certifications in a timely manner. 

Wear uniform and nametag at all times while on shift and follow Town Pump’s grooming and appearance guidelines.  

Supervise all housekeeping and laundry team members.  This includes but is not limited to participating in the hiring, training, performance management, conflict resolution, discipline, suspension of team members, and termination of team members as required. 

Assign daily work for the housekeeping and laundry department and distribute assignments accordingly.  

Sign out and sign in master room keys daily. 

Clean guest rooms to Town Pump/Brand and time standards. 

Inspect guest rooms using the Brand Quality Assurance Inspection Form to ensure all brand standards are met in each guest room. 

Complete inspections of rooms, public areas, storerooms, and laundry; and provide regular feedback to team members about their assigned work.  

Practice and reinforce with team members safe working conditions under Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines to include Bloodborne Pathogens. 

Manage linen and supply inventory. Generate supply requisitions.  

Maintain and be responsible for the lost and found items.  

Coordinate with maintenance for required room and public area repairs.  

Maintain equipment in good working order.  Report all known issues with services, equipment, and property; ensure work orders are in place. 

May be required to perform duties such as folding laundry, cleaning the lobby, assisting with breakfast service, cleaning public areas, guest rooms etc.  

Educate and train all new team members in their job duties as well as local, state, and federal laws and safety. 

Conduct regular meetings for the purpose of continued training and proficiency and keep minutes of the meeting.  

Comply with Town Pump expectations for the confidentiality of guest and company information.

EDUCATION AND/EXPERIENCE: 

High school diploma, GED, or related experience. 

Knowledge of general housekeeping and recordkeeping required. 

 

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:  

Ability to communicate in a courteous, professional manner with teammates, management, and guests.  

Ability to compute basic math.  Basic computer skills are a plus. 

Ability to be punctual and work within a flexible work schedule. 

Have a strong work ethic. Must display a high degree of pride and integrity in job performance.
