Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is seeking candidates to join our amazing Front Office team as a Hotel Assistant Manager- Overnight shift. The Hotel Assistant Manager oversees the Front Office operations and acts as the manager on duty in the hotel when senior managers are not available.
What you will do:
Manage the staff at the Front Office (Front Desk, Guest Services and Concierge). Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in the areas of the Concierge, Bell Staff, Business Center, and lobby coverage.
Interview, train and schedule staff. Conduct Performance Evaluations and discipline staff when needed.
Coordinate arrivals, departures and billing requirements with Sales and Catering Department.
Block rooms for arrivals and ensure any discrepancies are resolved. Review daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of Special Attention Guests, Return Guests, and Groups.
Monitor and assess revenue opportunities for the hotel, maximize red date conversion and keeps team on track to meet upsell goal.
Establish training and accountability within the team to achieve high results above benchmarks.
Assure that all financial and credit procedures are followed. Follow up on credit problems with Front Office Manager and/or Credit Manager. Reviews all paid-outs, rebates, Petty Cash disbursements and Direct Billings. Check cashiers’ work at end of shift to ensure all transactions are reconciled with proper approvals and endorsements.
Answer guest calls and direct them appropriately in the absence of a Hotel Communications Agent.
What you bring:
2-3 years experience in Hotel Management, preferably Front Office.
Knowledge of Opera system is preferred.
College degree in business or hospitality management, preferred.
Must be able to demonstrate anticipating guests' needs, proactively addressing concerns and leading team to do the same.

This is a full-time, overnight position. Candidates must be able to work a flexible work schedule including overnights, days/evenings, weekends, and holidays.
