Job Description

Avani Victoria Falls Resort is looking for an experienced leader to fill the role of Hotel Manager in this idyllic resort. We seek a positive person with high standards and the ability to build a team to lead and run the business at its optimum efficiency.

About the role:

Draw on your passion, initiative, drive and strategic approach to deliver a great product for our guests.Manage the day-to-day profitability, presentation and operation of the entire property.Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost control measures to ensure the property meets its financial targets.Develop and implement effective rostering strategies to optimise staffing levels and control labour costs.Create and execute marketing and promotional campaigns to increase sales and maximise revenue.Develop and manage the property team to reach their highest potential, including recruitment, training, and performance management.Make strategic decisions relating to increasing RevPAR for the company through collating and analysing data as required.Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and company policies.Maintain and enhance guest satisfaction by consistently delivering exceptional service standards.Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the property, ensuring all facilities are in excellent condition.Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, local authorities, and community partners.Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.Prepare and present regular reports on hotel performance, guest feedback, and strategic initiatives to senior management.Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations across all areas of the resort.Lead by example in promoting the company's values and culture throughout the organisation.

 

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, Business Management, or a related field.At least 5–10 years of experience in hotel management, preferably in luxury or upscale resorts.Strong background in operations, guest services, and revenue management.Experience in managing multi-departmental teams, including food & beverage, housekeeping, and front office.
