S u mmary/Objective
Communicate with customers. Perform roof leak investigations and repairs. Installing various roof systems, primarily Single-Ply, but can also include Mod-Bit, BUR and coatings. This work is typically on low-sloped existing buildings but can also include some new construction projects. Fabricate and install edge metals.
Essential Functions:

+ Ab ide by and enforce all OSHA and Houck safety guidelines.
+ Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
+ Erect scaffolding, set up ladders, or work out of aerial equipment.
+ Install protection on adjacent surfaces.
+ Remove water from roofs.
+ Lo ad and unload trucks.
+ Remove and dispose of existing roofing material.
+ Carry and place various materials for installation.
+ Operate hand tools and small equipment, with proper training.
+ Apply adhesives in a variety of techniques, including spray, roller and hot mop.
+ Roll out and position singly-ply and BUR materials.
+ Install flashing and associated trim.
+ Apply roof surfacing, to include coating and/or various sizes of gravel.
+ Clean construction site and eliminate possible hazards.
+ Communicate effectively with coworkers.
+ Receives instructions from supervisor.
+ Oversees the production and safety requirements of the job and crew members.
+ Completes and submits all required paperwork, time worked and materials needed for each job.
+ D riving the company vehicle. Foreman is responsible for proper use and maintenance of company vehicle.

Wo r k Environment
Functions can take place indoors or outdoors, sometimes in high, precarious places with fumes
and/or airborne particles. The standard work environment has loud to very loud noise levels associated with various equipment, coworkers and phone conversations. Often work must be performed in high and/or cramped workspaces and awkward positions. The employee works around hazardous situations, materials and equipment.
Physical Demands

Required Education and Experience
+ Comparable Experience
+ 5 years commercial roofing service or installation.
+ Commercial roofing training certifications are a plus.
+ Ability to navigate and use smart phone and ipad.
Tr a v e l
Mo s tly in-state travel is required, sometimes overnight or multiple-day stays out of town. Company does not guarantee transportation. The ability to lead a traveling roofing crew when needed is a plus.
