Housekeeper position in Central London to join a lovely and friendly family – Live in or out!

 

An exciting opportunity has come up in the Chelsea area to join a wonderful family of four, to oversee the daily running of their newly refurbished home. The role will include the daily running of the home, undertaking cleaning duties and cooking family style evening meals. The children are older and independent, so childcare is limited to occasional babysitting and keeping an eye on them if the parents are not at home. The family also have 2 small friendly dogs, who will be required to walk. Mum and dad have busy work schedules and are looking for someone who is reliable and able to make sure the home runs smoothly. They are great employers who have a great track record, as their last Housekeeper was with them for 15 years. They are looking for someone who is easy to be around, hardworking, can hit the ground running and hopefully also stay with them long term. The main working days are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm however, the family would require flexibility. Job specification:  • Daily running of the home and making sure everything is running smoothly • Undertaking all daily cleaning duties around the home • Making sure the home is organised, and everything is in the correct place • Walking and feeding the dogs when required • Pet sitting when the family travel • Cooking for the family (Family style evening meals generally) • Laundry and ironing for the family • Washing and changing linens • Liaising with contractors and tradespeople • Shopping for the household and running local errands – dry cleaners, post office etc Salary:  • Daily: £54,600 to £59,800 gross per annum • Live in: Up to £45,000 gross per annum Accommodation: Private accommodation with own entrance  Candidate specification: • Must pet friendly, happy to work in a home with pets and undertaking walking • Confident following recipes and planning family style meals for the family to eat • Experience with high end clothing and wardrobe management • Must be child friendly and enjoy being around children • Have a pro-active attitude • A friendly and relaxed person who wants to become part of the family Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage  How to apply:  Applying for this position: Please email your interest in this position to [email protected].
