Occupational Summary
Perform routine manual work in cleaning, servicing, and stocking University buildings, ensuring they meet established cleanliness standards and Health Department requirements. Assist with transferring and transporting items between departments and throughout the University as needed.
Work Performed
Clean and service assigned areas in University buildings, including restrooms and offices. Replenish restroom and office supplies as needed. Sweep, mop, buff, and spray buff floors; vacuum rugs and carpets in assigned areas. Wash windows, walls, and other designated surfaces. Pick up trash, empty garbage containers, and remove all trash to designated disposal areas. Sanitize trash containers as necessary to meet Health Department standards. Maintain a sufficient stock of cleaning supplies and materials for proper performance of duties. Report needed items for reorder. Maintain a running log of calls received and baggage placed in storage rooms. Assist in transferring, packing, unpacking, and transporting items between departments and throughout the University. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education
Work requires the ability to understand and follow instructions generally acquired through a partial high school education.
Experience
None required. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Ability to perform physical tasks, including mopping, vacuuming, etc. is also required.
