Housekeeping Aide

We are searching for a Housekeeping Staff\/Aide to join our community that is resident and family focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a facility culture. The primary purpose of this job is to perform the day-to-day activites of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our faclity and as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor and\/or the Executive Director. You would be responsible for maintaining a clean and comfortable environment in the facility. \n

STATUS: non-exempt\/full-time\n

SHIFT: 6a-2p\/7a-3p\n

Major Responsibilities:\n\nEnsure that work\/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.\nCoordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and\/or recreational areas.\nOn a daily basis, clean all areas of the facility assigned.\nAdhere to all facility sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures.\nReport any maintenance problems noted during cleaning routine.\nKeep equipment and carts clean.\nMaintain documentation, such as cleaning logs, as directed.\n\n

Specific Requirements:\n\nMust possess the ability to follow instructions and to accept constructive criticism.\nMust possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies\/personnel, and the general public.\nMust maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas.\nMust perform regular inspections of resident rooms\/units for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.\nMust be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.\n\n

Minimum Qualifications:\n\nMust possess, as a minimum, high school diploma or equivalent.\nTwo (2) years housekeeping experience in a medical facility. (preferred)\n\n
