Housekeeping Aide/Environmental Technician Location: 119-Southern Utah Veterans Home - Ivins/St. George, UT, 84738 Job Summary

The Housekeeping Aide/Environmental Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for the residents, visitors, and staff of the Southern Utah Veterans Home. The Housekeeping Aide will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces. The Housekeeping Aide will also be responsible for maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, and other designated areas Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces Empty trash and recycling containers Restock supplies in resident rooms and common areas Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel Follow established safety procedures and guidelines Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred Ability to follow instructions and work independently Strong attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed Working Conditions

The Housekeeping Aide will work in a healthcare facility and will be exposed to cleaning chemicals and bodily fluids. The Housekeeping Aide will be required to wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
