**Part Time Night Shift - Every other Weekend Required** **Position Summary:** Maintains standards established for general cleaning, which include mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting, trash removal and changing linens. Documents assignments completion and safety hazards. Stocks supplies. Participates in staff and guest relations. Attends meetings. **Essential Functions and Responsibilities:** 1. Cleans room and changes linen in patient areas upon discharge 2. Dusts and scrubs patient rooms, ancillary areas, operating rooms, lounges 3. Cleans bath and shower area 4. Changes curtains as needed 5. Removes trash from building 6. Mops floors 7. Washes walls 8. Responds to emergency calls for unplanned clean-ups 9. Vacuums floors 10. Stocks clean and soiled utility rooms, isolation cupboards, carts and dispensers 11. Replenishes soap and paper supplies 12. Removes soiled linen from hampers 13. Cleans equipment and cart for following shift and restocks housekeeping closet 14. Completes daily work sheets, reports safety hazards and/or needed repairs 15. Cleans offices 16. Assists in training new staff 17. Performs other department related duties as assigned 18. Collects medical waste and pharmaceutical waste **Qualifications:** **_Required:_** + Ability to read and write **_Preferred:_** + Previous experience working in a healthcare Housekeeping Department
