Primary Purpose:
As a Housekeeping Associate, your primary responsibility is to ensure that guests experience an outstanding room and public area environment. You’ll provide friendly, attentive service while maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and public areas, always following established cleaning protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Room & Public Area Maintenance:
Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to the highest standards.Remove used and unused linen/terry from rooms, disinfect high-touch surfaces, clean glass and mirrors, and dust furniture.Replace light bulbs, make beds with clean linens, and replenish supplies like drinking glasses and toiletries.Ensure that wastebaskets are emptied and trash is disposed of properly.Laundry and Linen Care:
Sort and examine laundry based on color, fabric, and dirt content to ensure proper cleaning techniques.Operate laundry equipment and use the appropriate chemicals to clean and press linens.Stocking & Organization:
Maintain organized and stocked housekeeping carts with clean linens, towels, toiletries, and cleaning supplies.Ensure all work areas, including storage closets, are kept clean and organized.Public Area Rounds:
Conduct rounds each shift to ensure public areas are disinfected, clean, and tidy, removing or replacing items that are out of order.Training & Development:
Assist with training newly hired associates and support ongoing performance development.Preventative Maintenance & Safety:
Perform deep cleaning and preventative maintenance as scheduled for all hotel areas.Follow safety protocols, reporting any damage, theft, or found items, and ensuring all hotel and guest property is protected.Compliance:
Follow all company, safety, and security procedures and report any unsafe work conditions or hazards to leadership.What We Look for in a Successful Housekeeping Associate:
Experience:
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, especially in a hotel setting, is preferred but not required.Customer service experience is a plus!Physical Stamina & Strength:
Able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally and 20lbs regularly.Comfortable bending, squatting, and standing for long periods during your shift.Flexibility & Availability:
Must be flexible to work various shifts including days, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.Attention to Detail:
A keen eye for cleanliness and organization, ensuring that every detail is taken care of.Communication Skills:
