**Purpose and Scope:** Provide Housekeeping/Laundry services according to Air Force lodging standards. This position is in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and is located at Ascension Island Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF). **Essential Responsibilities:** + Launder all linens then sort, count, bundle, and store clean linens in preparation for reissue and use. + Ensure storage areas are free from accumulations of waste material, rubbish, tools, scaffolding, equipment, and materials always. + Clean the required number of rooms by shift based on lodging standards. + Make beds, changes linens, cleans toilets, bathtubs, mirrors, floors, and sinks. + Utilize cleaning equipment, including automatic floor machines, commercial vacuums, wet mops, large wringers and other necessary equipment, tools, chemicals and supplies. + Maintain a friendly demeanor when interacting with guests, co-workers, and property employees. + Ensure that the work area is safe, clean and sanitary always. + Assist in cleaning emergency spills observed or on request. + Maintain assigned equipment and reports needed repairs to equipment, furniture, building, and fixtures. + Report lost and found items to internal Supervisor. **Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:** + High school diploma or equivalent training & experience. + Ability to read and write English is required. + Solid communications skills, strong interpersonal skills. + Strong ability to work as a member of a diverse, dynamic team. + Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment. + Candidate should be other country national (OCN) or local national (LN). + Possess a valid passport from their country have ability to obtain a work visa. + Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment. **Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:** + Able to stand for long periods of time such as eight (8) to ten (10) hours, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve supplies. + Able to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds. + Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. + Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions. + Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions. + Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
