The Four Seasons Hotel Seoul is looking for an Housekeeping Manager, who shares a passion for excellence and who infuse enthusiasm into everything they do. We are looking for a candidate that is dedicated to creating personalized experiences and lasting memories for our guests. This position reports to the Director of Rooms. 

Education

A university degree or equivalent experience required

Experience

Minimum of 4 years prior experience in a department head role required in hospitality, service or luxury industry

Desired Skills

Hospitality management degree or similar preferred.Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills and problem solving skills required.Must have solid knowledge of hotel operations, including proficiency in Hotel property management systems required.  Knowledge of Symphony and Opera preferred.Strong supervisory and leadership skills are essential, with an outstanding record of coaching and developing teams.Must be able to work a flexible schedule.Above average communication skills - verbal and written- required. Knowledge of another language(s) preferred.

Eligibility

Demonstrated ability to successfully develop someone without direct reporting linePreviously demonstrated success and credibility in providing support on corporate projects, or at another Four Seasons property 

Key Functions

Manages the team of the Housekeeping Department.  Interviews and trains the staff.  Conducts Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed.  Assures daily labor report and bi-weekly payroll submission is accurate and complete. Ensures communications and follow-up on any problems, guest requests or special requirements.Schedules staff. Makes or coordinates the daily assignment of work. Oversees the start of each shift. Monitors daily assignments to assure that productivity and quality standards are being met, and guest needs are being met. Inspects all areas of responsibility daily including a number of Guest rooms.Resolves customer complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.  Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Interaction with guest will be in person and by phone.Assures the financial goals of the department are being met. Monitors and controls labor expense and other divisional expenses such as Guest Supplies, Cleaning Supplies and Contract Services.  Monitor periodic Linen, Uniform and Supplies Inventories.  Assures that equipment is properly maintained.  Assists in the preparation of the annual budget for labour and operating expense and for items to be included in the annual Capital Plan.Assures effective operation of the Laundry Department.Takes action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of hotel guests and employees. Responds swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situation.

Key Expectations

Regularly communicates with Onsite Manager for pending tasks and projects.Regularly communicates with Director of Rooms about practices and/or corporate initiatives and pilot programs.Maintains confidentiality about the development and progress of Housekeeping Management Team.Assures all financial aspects are met while maintaining the best quality.Conducts orientation for new managers and supervisors.

Visa Requirements

Must already possess valid work authorization in South Korea.
