PCSI is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor on 2nd shift at Fort Belvoir! This role supports site leadership with supervising a staff of Environmental Services Technicians by directing employees on housekeeping assignments, arranging schedules, and providing leadership and training.
We are looking for someone with experience supervising and training employees and with strong communication skills. Experience with housekeeping and/or hospital environmental services is a plus!
This position is based on Fort Belvoir in Alexandria, VA and requires a public trust clearance. Typical hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 1:30pm-10:30pm, with rotating weekends.

Base pay of $58,000-$61,000 depending upon experience. Annual bonus of up to 6%. 21 days of PTO per year, in addition to all federal holidays. What You'll Do as a Housekeeping Supervisor:
Supervise a staff of 15-20 Environmental Services Technicians. Prepare, maintain, and arrange housekeeping and floor care schedules to meet the daily workloads and requests. Direct and monitor work assignments; conduct inspections, check completion of work, and ensure compliance to contract specifications. Monitor employee performance. Train new and existing personnel in cleaning procedures and ensure that all facility security and safety rules are being observed. Provide retraining as new procedures require; encourage and mentor all employees’ personal and professional development. Ensure employees comply with all regulations from Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organization, Medicare, and city, state, and Federal agencies. Maintain time and attendance and resolve routine employee disciplinary problems. Maintain all supplies required to perform cleaning duties. Ensure supplies are available to the employees in order for them to complete their assigned tasks. Read and fully understand the “Material Safety Data Sheets” (MSDS) for all chemicals and solutions used in our processes and procedures. Maintain cleaning deficiency records, and submit reports concerning personnel, equipment, supplies, and general maintenance and repair activities. Make all decisions based on safety first and maintain security in area of responsibility. Handle all requests and complaints with a sense of urgency. Provide management with suggestions and ideas for process and procedural changes that will continually improve PCSI’s on-going performance. Keep management informed of account status and customer satisfaction status. Control the assignment of keys to all personnel. Maintain security of key assignments at all times. What You'll Need to Be Successful:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum one (1) years’ supervisory experience required, housekeeping supervisory/management experience preferred. Housekeeping/EVS experience is strongly preferred, experience in a healthcare setting a plus. Requires knowledge of PC functions and software. Operation of windows applications, MS Word, MS Excel, and related applications.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to verbally relate to others. Willingness to delegate to others when needed. Ability and willingness to exert disciplinary action as needed. Ability to push objects up to 100 pounds, lift or carry objects weighting up to 60 pounds. Ability to bend the body downward and forward by bending at the knees. Ability to ascend or descend Ladders and stairs. Ability to tour facility approximately 90% of the time during working hours. Ability to remain in sitting position for approximately one hour continuously.Other Requirements:
Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening. Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record. Ability to be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors. Subject to hazards associated with working in a health care environment that may cause personal harm; diseases, cuts, bruises, burns, common colds, influenza, dust, odors and elevated noise levels. May be required to work in aseptic areas and be exposed to various chemicals and infectious disease. Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
