Housekeeping Supervisor

Responsibilities Description- Staff Supervision: 50%-- Provides daily supervision of Room Attendants, Custodial and Housepersons in the department. Assists Executive Housekeeper with ensuring standards and safety practices are met, payroll, scheduling, and incentives. Training: 20%-- Trains and orients the Room Attendants to meet Canyon Ranch standards and oversees their on-going coaching and training. Inspection: 20%--Inspects, cleans, and approves rooms as needed in accordance with Canyon Ranch standards. Administrative Support: 10%-- Performs administrative tasks in support of the Executive Housekeeper. Hours are variable and may include nights,weekends, and occational Holidays. Qualifications You will need housekeeping experience preferably in a hotel/resort environment. The ideal candidate will possess one year of supervisory experience in a housekeeping setting or other related area. To be successful in this role you will possess a strong sense of pride in your work. You will need to be physically able to perform housekeeping tasks, which require bending, lifting, carrying, and standing for long periods of time. You will need to be able to respond to guest request courteously and effectively, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work with a variety of people. This is a fast paced and physical position, but also requires capability in administrative tasks and computer skills. Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record to meet Group B Driving Requirements.
