Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Description Job Summary

Responsible for assigning and supervising the activities of associates to ensure a high degree of excellence/maintenance in guest rooms, suites, corridors, fire exits, stairways, service areas and service rooms is maintained that are equal to the high level of guest and management expectations. To ensure that the turndown service provided by the Evening Room Attendants is carried out to the highest degree.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
• Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis by checking, training and following the LQA, Forbes and Rosewood brand standards. 
• Monitor and control operation of various sections including, but not limited to linen room, uniform room, floors, public areas, offices, and storerooms. 
• Inventory, issue and control use of linen, amenities, cleaning supplies and other housekeeping supplies. 
• Prepare associates schedules and assignments on a daily basis.  • Ensure guest complaints are resolved in a timely manner and follow up on the glitches personally. 
• Maintain associate attendance, daily briefings, grooming standards, daily training calendar. 
• Responsible for lost and found drops, entry, and monitoring.
• Recommend hiring, developing, counseling, motivating and disciplining staff in accordance with hotel policies and procedures. 
• Maintain accurate records of linen and uniforms sent to and returned from laundry. 
• Maintaining floor checklist and pantry checklist on daily basis 
• Interact in courteous and professional manner with all guests, staff and community members. 
• Complete in charge and empowered for day-to-day glitches and updating the assistant manager if there is a highlight required.
• Respond in courteous, professional and rapid manner in order to resolve all guest and associate’s difficulties. 
• Supervise, direct, coordinate, associates in order to maintain service standards of hotel. 
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area. 
• Report all malfunctions on assigned floors to Engineering department. Follow up any reports, taking further action if required.
• Ensure all associates equipment is well maintained and in proper working order.
• Ensure all floors are stocked properly with correct supplies.
• Responsible for maintaining efficient inventory control of cleaning supplies and linens to ensure smooth and uninterrupted guest services.
• Stock and replace missing items in minibars and guest rooms, inspect and clean the minibars in accordance with departmental procedures and policies.
• Maintain, track and complete daily worksheet of minibar stock and post to guest accounts via iPad device.
• Ensure products in minibar and guest room are not expired and take the proper procedure to remove and replace those products as necessary.
• Ensure rotation of all minibar products.
• Monitor and report any misuse or unexplained stock discrepancies.
