Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Responsibilities Supervises employees to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment. Must be alert to alcohol abuse, and take appropriate action. Sets work schedules and assigns duties. Inspects completed work to ensure high quality of results. Conducts on the job training for new employees. Interviews applicants and makes selections of new employees. Recommends awards and discipline as necessary. Responsible for ensuring supplies are available; maintain supply inventory. Ensures that cleaning equipment is maintained and available for use by subordinates. Ensures delivery of fresh linen. Advises management on the quality of the linen used. Makes recommendations as to when to replace linens. Coordinates maintenance staff when problems develop in the guest rooms. Coordinates with management regarding interior design of guest rooms. Assists with purchasing of linens, furniture's, artwork, flower arrangements, carpet and other necessities for guest. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications High school graduate preferred. Two to three years related experience with one year as a supervisor. Ability to follow and give simple oral and written instructions; knowledge of proper usage of a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions; ability to make minor adjustments to power cleaning equipment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted fro the qualifications above. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Primary duties are performed sitting. Standing and walking are required in the performance of some duties. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Usually works indoors in areas normally having adequate heating, lighting and ventilation. Occasionally is exposed to skin irritation from strong cleaning solutions.
