Job Overview:

The Housekeeping Worker cleans and supplies Operating Rooms, sub-sterile areas, ancillary areas, and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with hospital objectives.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

Hospital housekeeping experience preferredFloor care experience preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

7:00am-3:30pmRotating weekends and holidaysFull time

Essential Functions:

Clean and disinfect patient s rooms, bathrooms, and other areas of the facility in a timely fashionCleaning duties will include trash removal and disposal, sweeping, mopping, and other duties assigned according to hospital policies and proceduresMust understand standard precautions and removal of medical waste, hazardous waste, and pharmaceutical wasteAbility to clean surgical equipment, surgical invasive areas, isolation areas and of off-site campus areas depending on shiftMust be able to work independentlyMaintain adequate stock of supplies and chemicalsLift, pull, push up to 50 lbs.Prefer an understanding of following Joint Commission and DOH inspections
