This position assists housekeeping with guest rooms, public areas and the grounds of the hotel. Move inventory from location of arrival to proper storage areas. Maintain and inventory housekeeping supply items. + Collect and deliver clean laundry to inventory areas. + Clean public areas of hotel, extract carpets and wet mop hard surface areas. + Assist with Candlewood Cupboard stocking and inventory. + Assist guests with luggage, deliver cribs and roll-away beds. Assist guests with other special needs. + Maintain a neat and orderly work area that reflects highly on the hotel and brand.. + Assist with opening and/or closing responsibilities of the seasonal pool and gazebo grill area. + Properly stock and maintain all housekeeping and storage closets. + Clean and sweep the parking lot, pool, public outdoor and sidewalk areas. Empty all trash cans on a daily basis, maintain recycling areas. + Report all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor. + Adhere to all established safety policies and procedures. + Perform other duties as necessary PEOPLE: + Learn and utilize our Winning Ways + Promote Quality and Teamwork with other departments, become involved with committees and sponsored community events or activities. 1. GUEST EXPERIENCE: + Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guests questions and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction. + Be aware of Safety and Security procedures as part of interaction with guests and for guest security. + Acknowledge and engage in a pleasant and service oriented manner. RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS: + Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and team members by reporting any safety and security concerns to management. + Maintain a focus and commitment to operating a “green” hotel. ACCOUNTABILITY: This position reports to Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor. In absence of direct report, this position may report to other department supervisors or managers. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Basic reading and writing skills required. This job requires ability to perform the following: + Carrying, lifting, pulling or pushing items weighing up to 75 pounds + Frequently standing up and moving about the buildings and grounds. + Frequently handling objects and equipment. + Frequently bending, stooping and kneeling. + Working knowledge of basic non-skilled maintenance tasks such as plunging toilets and changing light bulbs. + Working knowledge of grounds maintenance tools. + Reading and writing abilities are utilized in order to document or record all tasks completed, to order supplies, to receive instructions for the day or to read equipment safety/repair manuals. + Will be required to work nights, weekends and/or holidays. **The hourly pay rate for this role is $17.75.** **We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, and many other benefits to eligible employees.** **The statements in this job description are intended to describe the essential nature and level of work being performed.
