ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Strip and remove dirty linens from rooms after guest check out.
Collect dirty linens, large bags, and garbage, and carry it to designated location.
Receive, stock, and organize clean linens and supplies in linen closets throughout the day.
Use Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP) training and PPE provided to properly clean-up BBP spills or hazards.
Report needed repairs and turn in lost & found items to housekeeping management.
Perform laundry duties as assigned.
Assist housekeepers in cleaning guest rooms when needed.
Assist porter with stocking supplies, cleaning public restrooms, and maintaining pubic areas of hotel as needed.
Performs such other related duties as directed or required.
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
Strong sanitation habits and an ability to learn and follow important safety precautions.
Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit.
Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
Lift, carry, and push up to 20 lbs. regularly, 25-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Climb multiple flights of stairs regularly while carrying 25-35lbs.
Able to stand for extended periods.
Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of co-workers and the ability to speak clearly to be understood by same in English.
Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.
