Housing Compliance Manager - Columbus, OH
Position Description:

CGI Federal’s Housing Compliance team that partners with a local public housing authority and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to assist in the provision of affordable housing has an opening for a Housing Compliance Manager in Columbus, OH.

*This is a hybrid position and you must be able to work from our Columbus, OH office 1-2 days a week.*

This is an opportunity to join an energetic team with a collaborative management group and work with affordable housing owners and management companies within an assigned portfolio of properties.

Under the direction of the State Manager and Area Manager, the Housing Compliance Manager supervises and assesses the performance for a team of Housing Compliance Specialists responsible for conducting onsite Management and Occupancy reviews (MORs) for multifamily housing properties subsidized under HUD’s Project Based Section 8 Housing Program.

The Compliance Manager works closely with the Specialists and Property Owners to ensure project compliance. General responsibilities include portfolio and operations management for servicing Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) Contracts.

Your future duties and responsibilities
1. Reports to the State Manager and Area Manager in carrying out core task processing and to monitor project compliance.

2. Ensure 100% of onsite Management and Occupancy (MOR) reviews are properly scheduled and performed in compliance with contractual and client requirements.

3. Review and approve issuance of final MOR reports.

4. Supervises a team of Housing Compliance Specialists in the following core tasks related to the monitoring of project compliance in the following areas:
a) Marketing and Tenant Selection
b) Leasing and Occupancy
c) Rent Determination and Subsidy Request
d) Management of Maintenance Program
e) Response to Safety Concerns
f) Management of Tenant Relations
g) Review of General Appearance and Security

5. Ensure timely and accurate follow-up to ensure adequate owner responses to close the MOR report.

6. Successfully complete all required training programs within prescribed period.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
1. Bachelor’s degree preferred, but significant relevant experience will be considered.
2. Must have 2 - 5 years expereince in property management or case management preferred
3. Professional, organized, and able to communicate effectively
4. Assisted housing programs expertise preferred
5. Supervisory experience preferred.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $57,100.00 - $121,900.00.
