Summary You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGER in the HOUSING PROGRAM of NAVAL BASE VENTURA COUNTY. Responsibilities You will advise high level personnel on matters regarding the operation and utilization of housing assets. You will obtain statistical information and documents to monitor housing management personnel efforts. You will monitor budgeting functions for effectiveness in accomplishing goals and objectives. You will provide technical guidance; identify training needs; interview and select candidates for vacancies; recommend promotions; approve leave; recommend awards and resolve disciplinary issues. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and implementing plans for the renovation and recapitalization of Unaccompanied Housing (including Student Dormitories) facilities; 2) Managing the planned maintenance and upkeep of existing facilities of varied structural design, purpose, condition, and age; 3) Conducting all required surveys, reviews and inspections to determine current conditions and future requirements; 4) Ensuring awareness of potential health and safety risks to residents in Public Private Venture (PPV) housing and Engaging in an advocate role for service members and families; and 5) Performing supervisory duties such as managing, organizing, directing, providing technical leadership and guidance, assigning and prioritizing work, position management, evaluating work performance of subordinates and resolving disciplinary issues.
