Housing Officers Wanted
Salary: £25,522 Location: Leicester (travelling between 3 close-by locations) Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri. One weekend out of four (4 days in the week, plus 4 hours each on Sat and Sun)

About the Role
Are you ready for a role that gives you a sense of achievement? We are seeking a Housing Officer to support young people at risk of becoming homeless. Join an incredible team dedicated to helping service users live independently and engage with the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Intensive housing management (3 hours support per person per week).Needs and risk assessments.Manage admissions and transfers, including issuing agreements, key handovers, and inductions.Ensure Housing Benefit claims are submitted.Support occupants with rent payments and arrears plans.Help young people sustain education, employment, or training.Address anti-social behaviour and occupancy breaches.Work with external agencies to prevent evictions and provide resettlement support.

Skills and Experience Required

Qualifications: Level 3 in Housing, Youth & Community Development, Social Work, Coaching, or relevant Social Science.Passion: Eager to help those struggling with tenancy and at risk of homelessness.Transferable Skills: Able to support vulnerable adults.
