HP Indigo Project and Financial Management

The Industrial Print Customer Success organization in the Americas Region is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented PMO (Project Management Office) and Financial Analyst to join our Operation Team. This hybrid role requires a candidate with a strong understanding of project management practices, financial analysis, and reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the PMO in project governance and management while also overseeing financial data analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities.


This role is responsible for overseeing customer and organizational projects of significant size, complexity, and high risks and ensuring that the engagements meet all scope, time, budget, and quality expectations. The role leads business development efforts, maintaining upper-level client relationships, and cultivating new opportunities with clients and internal leadership. The role heads project teams of fewer than 40 individuals across multiple segments and ensures the achievement of key performance indicators. The role also collaborates across departments to align projects with customer priorities and contributes to complex projects and change management priorities while fostering relationships and providing mentorship.

This role is also responsible for financial management of key activities: P&L stability, Vendor management, PO budgeting, analysis, and cost management. Coordinates with accounting and finance team members to maintain revenue, cost and margin targets.

Responsibilities

Oversees the delivery of large and complex customer projects, spanning single or multiple regions, and characterized by high risks and intricate legal and commercial considerations.Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of project management processes and methodologies across the organization.Assist in the tracking, reporting, and management of project timelines, resources, and budgets.Coordinate and track project deliverables to ensure timely completion, resolving any issues or roadblocks that may arise.Ensure adherence to project management best practices, governance, and reporting standards.Assist in preparing and distributing project status reports, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.Facilitate project meetings, including kickoff meetings, status updates, and reviews.Maintain project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, and issue logsAssumes responsibility for project financials like profit and loss (P&L), consistently meeting or surpassing approved budgets, and delivering dependable financial forecasts to the management.Heads the project team, overseeing both internal and external resources with a team size of fewer than 40 individuals, fostering skill development among team members.Ensures proper key performance indicators are set, measured, and regularly reports on status against program objectives.Prioritizes multiple simultaneous projects to align with customer schedules and priorities.Collaborates with marketing, sales, and engagement teams to ensure accurate reflection of customers and their needs.Applies advanced subject matter knowledge, leads, and contributes to complex projects, and exercises independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies.Develops and builds productive internal/external working relationships and may provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.May manage client relationships, particularly those at the upper level, frequently serving as the organization's representative to external customers and clients.
 

Financial Analysis Responsibilities:

Prepare, analyze, and monitor project budgets and financial forecasts to ensure project cost efficiency.Perform variance analysis between actual and planned project costs, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions.Monitor financial performance for all assigned projects, ensuring proper financial tracking and reporting.Analyze financial data to assist with decision-making and resource allocation for projects.Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop and maintain accurate financial plans and forecasts.Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting processes.Assist in the development of financial models and business cases for new projects and initiatives.


Education & Experience Recommended

Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in project management, HP Services business units, HP global projects, or a related field.


Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) or similar.Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.Experience in working with cross-functional teams and senior management.Knowledge of risk management processes and practices.
 

The base pay range for this role is $93,150 to $140,650 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
