The ro le you’ll contribute:

The HPB Research Fellow (“Fellow”) is a 12-month position designed to assist in the research of the AdventHealth Research Institute (AHRI) and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Clinical Program. The Fellow will utilize their clinical knowledge and skills to assist with development of research studies including assisting with proposals, protocols, and procedures. The Fellow will participate in the full spectrum of research activities including literature reviews, data collection, cataloging of imaging, statistical analysis, abstract preparation, and creation of presentation materials. The Fellow will play a critical role to ensure that all research performed is in compliance with all AdventHealth, AHRI, local, state, and federal laws, policies and procedures. The Fellow will actively participate in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The val ue you’ll bring to the team:

· Utilizes clinical knowledge and skills to assist with related clinical research studies.

· Designs, constructs, and implements research proposals, protocols and procedures.

· Performs literature searches as relevant to the assigned research topic.

· Participates in data collection and analysis of research data in collaboration with Biostatisticians and other research team members.

· Prepares abstracts, scholarly manuscripts and presentations (where applicable) to communicate results of the research to the broader scientific community.

· Assists with obtaining, reviewing, and extracting pertinent data elements for clinical studies.

· Digitizes and catalogues imaging as defined per study protocols.

· Attends and actively participates in research meetings.

· Gives seminars under the direction of the Scientific Director or Physician lead.

Qualifications

T he expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

· M.D., D.O., and/or PhD or international equivalent in a scientific field

· Established competency in research as evidenced by published (peer reviewed) research and/or prior work experience
