Job Description:

   

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HPC and AI Network, Fabric, and Systems Architect to join our dynamic team. This is a technical role that requires a deep understanding of High-Performance Computing, AI, emerging technologies, and systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, design, implement, and scale HPC and AI networks, fabrics, and systems ensuring they meet the growing demands of our business.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving innovation, with a direct impact on business outcomes. You will influence the future of our HPC and AI strategy by developing architecture and creating designs, improving workflows, and contributing to both hardware and software advancements.

This position can be based anywhere in the United States.

Primary Responsibilities

Network, Fabric, and Systems: Envision what is needed from a networking, fabric, and systems perspective for future HPC and AI systems to allow them to scale, be reliable, and run in a highly performant manner.  Architect networking and fabric components and provide overall system configuration towards those requirements and create design documents to flesh out the details of those components to validate the efficacy of the architecture.

Co-design: Work closely with software architects and application experts to understand the needs of the applications and what hardware innovations are needed to allow system software and application to leverage the hardware.  Suggest innovations to the software architects that would allow the system software to have high performance, reliability, and scalability.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with engineering, data science, research, and IT teams across the organization to identify opportunities for system improvements and support the delivery of cutting-edge solutions.

Emerging Technologies and Trends: Stay ahead of the latest developments in HPC, AI hardware, and software, and incorporate emerging technologies and methodologies into the system design and architecture.

Business Impact: Align technical efforts with business objectives, ensuring that HPC and AI infrastructure investments deliver measurable performance gains that impact overall business outcomes.

Technical leadership: provide technical leadership for other architects and engineers working on future technologies for HPC and AI.  Partner with product teams to ensure what is created meets their needs and they are aware of the coming innovations.

Customer engagement: Lead technical discussion and collaboration with key customers.

Experience and Skills

15+ years of experience in networking and fabrics of HPC Systems

Proven track record of delivering high performance networking and fabric technology to solve real-world problems

Deep understanding of HPC system and interactions with networking and the fabric

Ability to provide technical leadership to other engineers

Strong presentation skills, will be facilitating discussions internally and externally on HPC and AI networking and fabric

Collaboration skills to work business unit teams to deliver complex solution requirements, and drive strategic engagements

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $161,500.00 - $390,000.00
