Are you a passionate Cloud Engineer eager to bridge the gap between IT and scientific research? Join our High Performance Computing (HPC) team within the Research and Discovery department, where we focus on optimizing workflows to drive groundbreaking discoveries.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and monitor Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable computing processes.Operate in a Linux environment to manage and enhance system performance.Optimize computational resources, leveraging both CPU and GPU capabilities for maximum efficiency.Document and communicate effectively regarding issues and solutions encountered during the project lifecycle.Must-Have Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.Proven experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, including services like EC2, S3, and EFS.Hands-on experience with Linux OS administration.Strong ability to collaborate within international and intercultural teams.Nice-to-Have Skills:
Familiarity with job schedulers and parallel processing.Experience in GPU processing.Knowledge of developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker or Singularity.Proficiency in version control tools (like GIT, Subversion, GitHub, Bitbucket) and CI/CD tools (such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins).Experience with automation tools (like CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform).Background or experience in life sciences, particularly in areas such as infectious diseases, immuno-oncology, or neuroscience.What we offer:
