HPC Project Manager

In this role, you will work within the exciting field of High-Performance Computing (HPC), where supercomputers power critical aspects of modern life—from medical advancements and financial analysis to innovations in sports, automotive, and environmental technologies. HPC systems drive enhanced quality of life by enabling accurate weather, climate, and seismic forecasts, facilitating cleaner and safer innovations, and advancing personalized medicine through genomic research. As industries and academic institutions tackle ever-larger data volumes, the demand for HPC & AI solutions grows, empowering breakthroughs across science and technology.

 

Candidates must be eligible to obtain a security clearance - DV level.

 

Location:
Remote working with flexibility for travel as required

 

Role and responsibilities:

Project Management: Lead and manage projects through all stages, from PreSales, procurement, hardware and software installation to acceptance testing, final handover, and ongoing maintenance/support Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact for clients, internal teams, and partners, ensuring consistent communication and progress reporting throughout the project lifecycle Team Leadership: Coordinate and motivate project teams by managing internal and external resources to maintain high-quality standards and ensure projects are completed on schedule Financial and Performance Oversight: Monitor and manage project finances, ensuring profitability, adherence to budget, and alignment with Eviden's quality and value standards Risk, Issue Management, and Governance: Identify, analyze, and address risks proactively Maintain effective project governance structures and integrate lessons learned to promote continuous improvement Scope and Milestone Control: Plan, monitor, and control project scope, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion Technical Problem-Solving: Oversee the resolution of installation and technical challenges, often involving the latest technologies to deliver optimal solutions for clients

 

Required skills and experience:

Project management practices / PRINCE2 / PMP Proven experience managing complex infrastructure change projects from start to finish, with a record of on-time delivery that meets customer requirements Demonstrated ability to manage risks, issues, and recommend solutions through formal and informal channels to achieve effective outcomes Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects, activities, and work streams while handling shifting demands and priorities to deliver customer requirements or business benefits Successful leadership of a team from PreSales and Implementation to Handover to Support Effective and consistent communicator with a proven record of successful stakeholder engagement at all levels, including third parties such as suppliers or public sector entities Financial management – actively monitor and manage costs, opportunities, and forecasting Ability to record and follow up on meeting actions Skilled at building and maintaining trusting, honest relationships with internal and external stakeholders Competent working within national and international teams, with an understanding of cultural differences and their impact on business, solutions, and projects Capable of building on past experiences and learnings to help Eviden develop and deliver quality solutions on schedule and within budget Willing to contribute to team growth by discussing ideas, sharing fresh insights, and exploring potential new approaches to improve workflows Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently Self-motivated, highly organized, and skilled at multitasking Results-oriented – committed to meeting deadlines and achieving project standards Professional – ensures all Project Team outputs meet Eviden standards Self-managing and commercially aware

 

Desirable Skills:

Experience working on large data center or IT infrastructure implementation or lift-and-shift projects Experience managing delivery of IT infrastructure from R&D through to installation and commissioning Knowledge of procurement processes, including using Find a Tender or government frameworks such as G-Cloud
