HPC Systems Engineer

GDIT is seeking a TS cleared HPC Systems Engineer to join our team in supporting Federal Government customers. You will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for a range of HPC solutions and apply your systems administrative expertise to configure these resources for the computational demands of emerging workloads that are critical to the customers. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

Install, configure, test, and maintain system management tools, infrastructure, and server applications

Participate in the design of information and operational systems

Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with vendors to implement fixes

Monitor, identify, and resolve server and storage issues

Communicate and coordinate with vendors, customer teams, and multiple stakeholders regarding requirements, workflows, and problem resolution actions

Develop and maintain custom scripts to automate tedious, repetitive, and/or correct error prone tasks related to provisioning, installation, configuration, and management of IT systems and services

Prepare and maintain documentation for system and application configurations

Required Qualifications:

Linux systems administration experience in a secure environment maintaining compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) standards

Application installation and test experience including but not limited to SPACK, Ansible, Puppet, Apache NiFi, Compilers, and System libraries

HPC systems experience including High-speed Interconnect Networks (HSNs), parallel file systems, Slurm batch, provisioning tools, and systems management

Position is 100% onsite at Quantico, VA with some travel to Clarksburg, WV

Active Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI) with ability to obtain CI/Poly

Minimum Education: BA/BS and 10 years of experience or MA/MS and 8 years of related experience

Desired Qualifications:

Development and programming experience (preferred language is C/C++) with an ability to parallelize is preferred

Knowledge of Bash, Python, and MPI is useful

Experience with GPU development tools (CUDA) is a plus, but is not required
